Martin Reads
The Client
In 2014 Children’s Services Council of Martin County joined the Florida Campaign for Grade Level Reading, FLGLR, to increase the number of children reading on grade level by the end of the third grade. Currently, 24 of the 67 counties have joined the FLGLR to improve literacy rates state-wide.
The Challenge
Our challenge for Martin Reads was crafting content that would resonate with families in Martin County, Florida. We had to get creative with organic engagement strategies—using local hashtags, geo-tagging posts, and running interactive campaigns to build awareness. Additionally, we had to ensure our content was highly visual and easy to share, appealing to the diverse range of parents and caregivers in the community.
The Solution
We were able to craft a targeted strategy to increase outreach to families in Martin County by creating compelling, family-focused content that highlighted local reading programs, events, and success stories. Our goal was to foster a sense of community around the importance of literacy while providing families with accessible resources. Through strategic use of hashtags, local partnerships, and interactive posts, we increased visibility and engagement, ensuring that more families had the opportunity to participate in Martin Reads’ mission to promote literacy across the county.
