Sunflower Family USA was founded with the purpose that a plant-based diet does not mean a lack of nutrients or flavor. Their main product, a ground meat alternative, was cleverly sourced from one ingredient, sunflower seeds. One of their main goals was to facilitate an easier (and tastier) transition to plant based nutrition while using the most eco-friendly manufacturing processes possible; this lead to the creation of the Heliaflor® Sunflower Protein Crisp.

The Challenge
